Aurum Purus Goldens was not built as a hobby — it was built out of necessity.
After being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, I was told I might never work again — and possibly never walk. During that time, I began researching service dogs and quickly realized how inaccessible truly capable dogs are for most people, both financially and practically.
That experience shaped how this program operates today.
Our focus is producing healthy, structurally sound dogs with stable, trainable temperaments — giving each puppy the strongest possible foundation for real-world success, whether as a companion or a working prospect.
Every decision in this program is made with real-world function in mind — not just theory.

I have always been an animal lover and interested in training, but when I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2008, my interest turned from casual to practical. I witnessed many others in my position developing relationships with and dependence on Service Animals but the catch was that professional, effective dog training was often restrictively expensive - especially on a fixed income. Recognizing this, I set out to learn to do it on my own.
What was originally something I fell into because of my health has evolved into a passion and I found that as I learned and grew during my journey, I wanted to share my knowledge.

True service work is demanding, and not every dog is suited for it.
Our focus is producing healthy, structurally sound dogs with stable, trainable temperaments — giving each puppy the strongest possible foundation for success as either a companion or working prospect.
Not all high-potential dogs are placed immediately.
In some cases, select puppies remain within the Aurum Purus Goldens program for continued development before entering advanced training or final placement.
This allows for more accurate evaluation over time and ensures that dogs suited for more demanding roles are given the foundation necessary to succeed.
Our approach prioritizes intentional placement decisions and long-term outcomes for both the dog and the owner.

Puppies are able to go home as early as 8 weeks in most cases, depending on schedules or if you are requesting additional training.
We will drive as far as 4 hours to meet (entire state of Oklahoma, Dallas metro (TX), Amarillo (TX), Kansas City (KS) metro, Russellville (AR), Joplin (MO)) or deliver, but for distances greater than that, we will either meet you or a courier at the Will Roger’s International Airport in Oklahoma City.
The alternative is to coordinate either myself or a family member flying with your puppy to an airport of your choice so that you can meet us there and collect.

From there, we will review your responses, follow up as needed, and discuss next steps. If approved, reservation details and timing will be outlined based on the current or upcoming litter.
Puppy placement is based on a combination of:
While preferences are considered, final placement decisions are made to ensure the best long-term fit for both the puppy and the family.
Puppies are typically ready to go home at 8 weeks of age, depending on development and scheduling.
Additional time may be arranged if extended training or specific placement considerations are requested.
Some puppies may be suitable as service or working prospects, but this cannot be guaranteed at a young age.
We focus on producing dogs with strong foundational traits — health, stability, and trainability — which are necessary for advanced work.
Final outcomes depend on continued development, training, and environment.
We do not ship puppies in cargo holds.
While many breeders utilize cargo transport, we prioritize keeping each puppy in a controlled, monitored environment during travel.
If air travel is required, puppies must travel in-cabin with a person.
For families who are unable to travel, a member of Aurum Purus Goldens can accompany the puppy and fly with them to their destination. This option is available at an additional cost and is outlined in the purchase contract.
Many of our families travel from out of state.
We work closely with each family to coordinate pickup, which may include:
